Our Expertise – Good Laboratory Practices

The Institute for Bioanalytics (IBA) and Fairview-University Medical Center (F-UMC) Clinical Laboratories (formerly Clinical Laboratories of the University of Minnesota Hospital) have substantial experience with developing, implementing and utilizing many different procedures for analyzing hundreds of different analytes.

The scientific staff at IBA has extensive experience in all aspects of assay development and performance validation employing a number of diagnostic assay platforms. Faculty at the University of Minnesota have utilized the F-UMC laboratories in the conduct of numerous clinical trials and studies, funded by the National Institute of Health.

This combination provides a multifaceted perspective from the initial validation of the technical foundations of an assay (at IBA) to the utilization of the procedure within the setting of a clinical laboratory (F-UMC) which continuously provides clinical laboratory testing and has completed many validations for industry in assessing new laboratory procedures.
